Was surprised how popular my photos of the RE cosplayers would be. Then again, and crew were amazing. xD I'm glad people like them! Just wish my 35mm camera didn't screw up, for I think the photos I THOUGHT I took with them would've been amazing. I know Hope looks awesome on film! Sadly, the film didn't work its way fully through the camera, so no shots from it. I should see about posting the shot of Hope from 2011, that I took on my 35mm Spotmatic. Hope looks REALLY good, in my opinion, on film. Then again most people do! Film just has a magical quality to it.

Maybe I should describe the photoshoot a bit. Well it was on Saturday (7/28/12), mid afternoon. Hope and crew wanted to do a private photoshoot with me, and I was more than happy to, for I wanted to get more practice in, in a more controlled environment. We wandered for a bit, trying to think of a good place nearby to shoot. We decided to do it behind the convention center. Might not have been the best spot, looking back. The sun was glaring down on us, and it was nearly 100 degrees out. Also didn't help in one spot, homeless people apparently decided it was a good spot to take a crap. >_> Never the less, we pressed on! We tried a variety of spots and poses. I had a few more ideas in mind I wanted to try, buuuut the sun was killing us after awhile. We were all sweating like crazy, and it was starting to show hehe. Still, was a lot of fun and I'm sooooooo happy we got to do it. Good practice for me, and good times. Thanks to all 3 of yall for letting me do this! Just wish the damn Spotmatic hadn't screwed up....though really it was my fault. My spideyphotographer sense was going off, but I ignored it. xD

At this rate I'm gonna have to make a folder just for the RE photoshoot. >_> Yes, more are on the way, as of this journal!

Having finally gotten the rolls of film I shot at Otakon, I'm really in love with film. The look, feel, warmth of film, it can make everything so much better. None of that noise crap with digital, even under or over exposed shots can look good. Now I just have to learn to frame better. I noticed I tended to put the heads on my subjects smack dab in the center...which led to a ton of empty space above them, which is driving me nuts to no end. xD But a couple really stood out. One is of a friend. A full body shot of her came out really good, though it was slightly blown out (the patio I took it on was VERY light colored, so even at 1/1000th shutter speed, I needed to bump fStop to an 8 probably). The Baltimore Convention Center is a very light colored building, so anything taken outside but near it has a chance to be overblown to a degree unless you get your settings just right. Most of the inside shots came out very good, though a couple were slightly under exposed, though only one had any issues. However, something fucked up on my second roll of film, and the first couple shots had light damage on them sadly. Luckily most turned out fine. Just wish now I had taken more with my SLR. Next Otakon I'm bringing my SLR again, and this time gonna do alot more with it. xD

With so many photo apps I have for my iPod touch now, I've really gotten into digital photography, and photo manipulation, recently. I'm going out now, snapping random photos of, well, everything. xD I just take alot, see what looks decent, then pop it on my iPod, and toy around with them. I'm wanting to get a better camera, something a lil higher end than a standard compact camera (though don't want/need a DSLR xD Just a good point and shoot). Something that has alot of features, but not DSLR expensive. Dunno why I have the photography bug, but I dont mind it, hehe.
